Sean joined the Army in 1980 and served for 9 Years with The Royal Corps of Transport where he was a class one driver. During his Army service he drove large vehicles such as tank transporters and fuel wagons. He served four tours in Northern Ireland ; he served with The United Nations in Cyprus. He also served in Canada , Germany, Norway, Belize and Kenya.
Sean's Piping inspiration came from his father who played the pipes for many years. Sean was given his first set of Pipes from his Father (Henderson's .... of Course)
Sean joined Houghton-Le-Spring Pipeband where he was taught by the currentv Pipe Major Malcolm D.D. Robertson and by Les Givens. Sean has gone on to became an established competing member of the Band and has competed in Pipeband Competitions
In 2013 he entered a tune, which he had written, into the Piping Live Tune Competition 2013.
